The MONKIND Store is located in Berlin-Schöneberg, Germany. It’s the brand’s design hub, head office and flagship store in one.
Here you can find all current MONKIND collections, plus rare samples, prototypes and previews. Additionally, we stock some products from selected brands that we love:
We have the largest range of Gretas Schwester products in Berlin! If something’s currently not on stock we can usually source it for you. We’ve worked with them for many years now, regularly collaborate on products and are also proud to say we’re very good friends with Sarah, the founder ❤️
Yume, which means “dream” in Japanese, has its origin in a story about a mythical rabbit, a mystery yarn and magic pyjamas and blankets that hold the secret of deep and restful sleep. The products are sewn in the north of Thailand. They are adorned with hand-embroidered motifs evoking elements of the sky and nature by women and men who work part-time from home to supplement their income as rice farmers. It is important to them that the people who work on their products also benefit from them, so they pay them well.
NKITH (New Kids in the House)
A sustainable future kidswear label. They collect and process used fabrics to create new and timeless designed kids clothes. Their goal is to create sustainable kids fashion and make a statement against the fast fashion madness that surrounds us everyday. All products are made with love in their small studio in Germany or neighbouring EU countries.
Good Clay Sunshine
“Friends to Clay”, Ariane and Vanessa run a small pottery in Berlin where they make short runs of exclusive and one-off pieces.
A Russian, family-run brand we fell in love with a few years ago at a trade fair (before they were big!). They make toys to celebrate creativity and open-mindness. Walk the way you walk, play the toys you want! Their production is slow and careful, as they create their toys with ambition to make toys as art. All made by hand from solid wood and using non-toxic water based paint.
YKRA backpacks and accessories are handcrafted with care in Hungary, from the finest quality materials, inspired by the vintage mountaineering gear of the 70’s. They source leather from Italy, use thick cotton canvas from the Czech Republic instead of plastic, the metal accessories and webbing is also made in Hungary. These are all natural materials that will one day break down, and disappear without a trace. Thery’re a responsible company who will always repair any product that has defects in materials or workmanship, regardless of the age of the product.
BEZISA started small, but grew bigger by continuing to dream. Everything you see is inspired by nature. The materials, the colours and figures. People find peace in nature. In a world where everything is for sale and where we are over-stimulated every day, they hope to offer something that encourages you to take a step back and connect with each other. The pieces are produced in collaboration with Ferm Werk, a local sheltered workshop. There are people who are further removed from the labor market due to psychological problems.
We also have a great collaboration with Booghgoed. Where people with non-congenital brain injuries are treated, guided and helped with reintegration in a very personal way. They support us, among other things, with sewing the bean bags.
We also work with selected PR agencies and occasionally offer our space for public, private, corporate or blogger events as well as TV and film. If you’re interested, get in touch here.
